As long as I can remember ART has been an integral part of my life. Early in my education I was inspired by a wonderful art teacher who helped me discover my passion for art. To this day, I am a practicing artist with a BA in Art and Psychology and a Master’s in Fine Arts from Catholic University of America, in Washington DC. After 25+ years, I have retired from the classroom to start up a property management company, as
well as to pursue my art more passionately. I have worked in every medium, but my love is oils paints. I am currently working on a series of color field paintings using glazes to achieve rich and deep colors. while exploring human tonality as inspiration. I am a Dutch national, with Cuban-Spanish heritage, brought up in the richly diverse Caribbean leeward island of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. I speak four languages: English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento.
In my free time I like to paint, cook, read, dance, go to the beach and the movies, but most of all, I love to hang out with my family and my kitten Dali.
